According to the Mehr News Agency, quoted by Baghdad Al-Youm, Syrian politician Mahmoud Mawaldi said that Raghad Saddam met with Al-Jolani in Damascus.

The coordinator of the “Al Tahrir al-Watani” party in Syria said in a statement published recently that the meeting was attended by two businessman brothers from Jordan and 7 former officers of Saddam’s army, including a prominent person and another person with the title of observer.

Mowaldi said that this meeting was done with the diligence and support of the British Intelligence Organization and the coordination of the Jordanian Intelligence Organization.

He also noted that a person named al-Shibani and the head of what is called Syrian intelligence were also present with al-Jolani.

Without disclosing more details about the results of this meeting or the nature of the understandings discussed, Mavali confirmed that there are many questions about the purpose of this meeting and the party organizing it.
