The United Nations demanded the reopening of all crossings in Gaza – Mehr News Agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, Jens Larke, the spokesperson of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), welcomed the limited reopening of the Rafah crossing in an interview with Turkey’s Anatolia news agency and emphasized that the opening of other closed crossings is also necessary for the effective delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
At the same time, he added: So far, we have not seen any truck carrying humanitarian aid that has moved from Egypt to Gaza.
This UN official said: If there is to be a real change in the humanitarian situation, a much larger amount of aid should enter Gaza; Something that has not yet been achieved.
Larke added: The United Nations is collecting detailed data on the arrival of aid and the movement of people to Gaza, but it does not have direct control over this process, and publishing the final statistics requires time and coordination with various actors, including the European Union.
