According to the , citing the Vice Preside for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, considering the importance of producing greenhouse and fishery products and the goals set in the Seveh Developme Plan to achieve 10 million tons of greenhouse products and 1.8 million tons of aquatic products (fishing and aquaculture), the developme of applied research in the value chain of greenhouse and fishery products plays a key role in achieving these goals.
Therefore, according to the scieific and research capacities available in the coury, the curre call from the National Science Foundation of Iran and in ieraction with the National Program for the Promotion of Technology in the Value Chain of Greenhouse and Fishery Products of the Vice Preside for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy and the Research, Education and Extension Organization of the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad has been designed with a comprehensive view of the value chain of greenhouse and fishery products to support applied research in order to prepare and prese technical knowledge, methods and models that can Have exploitation in research environmes and greenhouse and fishery pilots and help to develop the value chain of greenhouse and fisheries.
One of the most importa goals of this call is to produce practical knowledge that can be implemeed in greenhouse environmes and aquaculture farms, to provide practical methods and protocols to improve the design process, production and performance in greenhouse and fishery environmes, and to develop measurable indicators and criteria to evaluate performance, product health, and input productivity, so that their results are not only for the production of articles, but also for policy makers and executive bodies. It can be used by releva stakeholders as well as greenhouse and fisheries operators in the coury.
Priority areas and considered outputs in the greenhouse value chain:
1- Adaptation of greenhouse design to the climate
After determining the suitable location for the construction of the greenhouse, the design of the structure and the selection of the structure and covering materials will have the greatest impact on the climate inside the greenhouse and its performance. To create a greenhouse compatible with the climate, it is necessary to pay serious atteion to the parameters: the structure form, the direction of the greenhouse and the type of cover. Therefore, the standardization of the location of susceptible areas and the technical and economic design of the greenhouse, including: structure, covering and equipme suitable for differe climates and cultivation patterns, are among the goals of this field of research.

Healthy products have high value and consumer markets demand products with high nutritional value and standard. Therefore, it is necessary to comply with the scieific-technical principles and standards of the world for the production of healthy products in greenhouses. Crop production based on optimal use of chemical, organic and biological fertilizers along with non-pollution of soil, water and pla resources in greenhouses is one of the most importa axes of this field. Also, the use of biological corol ages and non-chemical corol methods in the form of iegrated manageme of pests and pla diseases leads to the production of healthy products and while preserving the environme and community health, they provide the possibility of exporting greenhouse products. For this reason, pla nutrition manageme, pest and pla disease manageme, reducing the use of fertilizers, poisons and pesticides, production of organic and biological fertilizers, production of biological and microbial pesticides in line with the production of healthy and safe greenhouse products are among the most importa axes of this field of research.

Greenhouse is a set of differe systems and equipme with the purpose of climate manageme and other production factors and consumes energy and water. These equipmes and their uses determine the quaity and quality of production, productivity, costs and economy of the greenhouse. The existence of differe equipme with high investme cost in the greenhouse has created challenges for the greenhouse owners. Among these challenges are accurate and timely corol of greenhouse environmeal conditions, irrigation and feeding operations, detection of pests and diseases, and harvesting and post-harvesting operations of production products. These challenges, along with the various complexities of the greenhouse, make it costly and difficult for the greenhouse owner to manage crop production. 1- Proliferation of native marine fishes and developme of technical knowledge to design cages suitable for local conditions
The valuable capacity of water resources in the Caspian Sea, the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman has made it possible to breed fish in cages. However, one of the most importa main challenges in the developme of fish farms in cages is the lack of developme of technical knowledge related to the design of various types of fish breeding cages suitable to the native conditions of the coury (Caspian Sea, Persian Gulf and Oman Sea) on the one hand, as well as the lack of developme of technical knowledge of native marine fish reproduction and the coury’s strong dependence on importing non-native species. Diversification of the coury’s aquaculture production portfolio and the gradual replaceme of valuable native species instead of non-native species and increasing the self-sufficiency and productivity of fish breeding cages are among the importa issues in this field.

Therefore, considering the importa and challenging issue of fungal, parasitic and especially bacterial and viral diseases, a comprehensive investigation of aquatic health (target species) is necessary. The most importa goal of this field is to use capabilities such as aquatic health analysis in order to predict, preve and treat aquatic diseases, produce diagnostic kits, vaccines, various supplemes to improve the performance of the aquatic immune system, and use artificial ielligence in the diagnosis of various diseases. The developme of technology related to aquatic processing and the production of products with high added value is another research priority in this field. On the other hand, one of the importa challenges of aquaculture is the high cost of providing feed, which is considered as the most importa factor in providing working capital. Eligibility, performance level, requiremes and required facilities
Applicas and project proposers must be faculty members of universities or research institutions. Researchers will work in a university or research ceer environme. Therefore, it is necessary to provide research facilities for the implemeation of the pilot by the university itself or the research ceer or the agricultural research, education and extension organization for the researchers. The expected results and achievemes should be able to be implemeed and evaluated in a typical greenhouse or fishery unit with an appropriate scale.
There is no requireme for industrial implemeation or commercial production of the product, however, if the researcher agrees with the private sector operators to impleme the research, he will have pois in the evaluation process of the proposed plan. In the proposed proposals, it is necessary to clearly define and explain the amou or type of improveme in the performance (efficiency) of the product, method, model, etc., compared to its curre state based on key indicators.
The call for research proposals starts from February 14 to March 18, 1404. This call has been announced with the aim of supporting research projects in greenhouse and fisheries fields, and depending on the type of project, the amou of financial support will be differe.
According to the plan’s secretariat, in the area of adaptation of greenhouse design to the climate, financial support of up to two billion tomans has been considered.
