
According to the Mehr news agency, citing the Islamic World Science and Technology Citation and Monitoring Institute (ISC), Mohammad Mahdi Alavian-Mehr, the head of this institute, emphasized the cerality of advanced materials in the developme of technology and national economy and said: Advanced materials are the key to developing technology and generating wealth in couries.
He considered the field of advanced material technology to include metals, ceramics, polymers and advanced composites as well as their manufacturing and production processes.
The head of the Islamic World Science and Technology Reference Institute (ISC) noted: Access to most advanced technologies, including aerospace, renewable energy, microelectronics, and biotechnology, requires access to advanced materials and related technologies.
According to Alavian Mehr, due to the strategic importance of this field and the efforts of the presideial science and technology vice preside, the “Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies Developme Headquarters” has been formed with the aim of organizing, helping to promote production, commercialization, technology developme and related infrastructures.
He stated: The Islamic Republic of Iran, with the aim of maiaining its political, cultural, economic and scieific independence, is taking steps towards achieving advanced material technologies. National authority depends on atteion to science and technology, which is not limited to the production of knowledge, but must be used in daily life and coury manageme. According to the national plans being compiled, there is a special focus on the developme and use of advanced material technologies, and it is expected that Iran’s position in the use of these technologies will improve.
According to the meioned materials, it is very importa to review and analyze the scieific position in advanced material technologies in the prestigious global rankings.

He poied out: According to the data of the Web of Science database, Iran has been ranked fifth in the world and first among the couries of the Islamic world in the technologies of graphene oxide, carbon nanotubes and zeolite imidazolate frameworks, and has performed better in these technologies than other couries of the Islamic world. Also, the rank of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the technologies of organic metal frameworks and double layered hydroxides is the 6th world rank and the first rank among the couries of the Islamic world. Also, Iran’s rank in Maxine technology is 9th in the world and the third rank among the couries of the Islamic world.
