According to Mehr news agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, Mojtaba Amani, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lebanon, in an interview with Al Jazeera Mubasher’s “Al-Masaiyeh” program, emphasized Tehran’s readiness to counter any possible attack by the United States and announced: Iran’s participation in the upcoming negotiations with Washington is not due to fear, but rather due to the desire of both sides to manage the nuclear crisis within the framework of a clear dialogue.

Regarding Iran’s ability to confront America, he said that Iran’s experience in the 12-day war was successful, and any possible American attack could lead to a regional war, and Iran has the ability to inflict painful blows on its enemies. Blows that force them to retreat.

Referring to the records of previous talks between Iran and the US, Amani said: During the previous rounds of talks between Iran and the US, attacks by Washington and Tel Aviv took place during the talks, which increased Tehran’s experience and knowledge in how to manage the talks.

Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon emphasized: If the principle of mutual respect is respected, the Islamic Republic of Iran will not run away from the negotiation table.

He pointed to the upcoming talks and added: The upcoming talks will focus on Iran’s nuclear issue, and issues such as ballistic missiles or regional influence are outside the scope of the talks.

Rejecting the claim that “Iran entered into negotiations out of fear of war,” Amani said: “Some people’s perception that Iran negotiates out of fear of war is not true, and Tehran is ready to respond to any possible attack, and past experiences have proven that Tehran has the ability to stand up and face any threat from America or Israel.”

Regarding the attempt of some parties to threaten the leader of the Islamic Revolution or to overthrow the Islamic Republic of Iran, he stated: The Islamic Republic is not afraid of these threats, and the recent presence of the leader of the revolution in the tomb of martyrs and the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini (RA) and holding public meetings has a clear message that Iran is standing and its power is increasing day by day.

In the end, Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon said: We know the capabilities of the enemy and our territory very well, and that is enough to stand against any aggression. Negotiation is not a sign of weakness, but crisis management is based on our national interests.
