Zelensky: The next round of negotiations will resume on Wednesday – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al-Nashrah, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, took a stand on the resumption of peace talks in his country.
According to this media, the President of Ukraine said in this regard: The next round of negotiations will be held on February 4 and 5 (Wednesday and Thursday of this week, 15 and 16 of February) in Abu Dhabi.
In this regard, Volodymyr Zelensky added: We are ready for negotiations and we hope that the negotiations will be fruitful.
The first meeting of the tripartite security working team with the presence of representatives of Russia, Ukraine and the United States was held in Abu Dhabi last Friday and Saturday, and the parties discussed controversial issues related to the peace plan proposed by the United States in closed meetings.
Last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with an American delegation led by Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff.
At the same time, foreign media have reported the details of the initiative proposed by the United States, which includes the stabilization of contact lines, the assignment of the eastern regions of Ukraine, including the Donbass and Crimea, the reduction of Ukraine’s military power, and the ban on the deployment of foreign forces and long-range weapons in this country.
The Kremlin had previously emphasized that without resolving the territorial issue based on the agreed frameworks, it would not be possible to achieve a lasting peace and considered the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from the Donbas region as one of Moscow’s basic conditions for any final agreement.
