Nouri al-Maliki’s consultation with the charge d’affaires of the US Embassy in Baghdad – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, Nouri al-Maliki, the candidate for the post of Iraqi Prime Minister, met with Joshua Harris, the charge d’affaires of the American Embassy in Baghdad, on Friday.
The governme of law coalition affiliated with Nuri al-Maliki issued a stateme and announced that the two sides discussed and exchanged views on strengthening relations between Iraq and the United States.
In this meeting, there was a discussion and exchange of views regarding the consultations between political groups in connection with the formation of the new governme and the process of electing the preside and prime minister.
It should be noted that American Preside Donald Trump has recely announced his opposition to Nouri al-Maliki’s candidacy for the post of Prime Minister by taking an ierveionist position in Iraq’s iernal affairs! This issue has caused a wave of negative reactions in Iraq.
