According to the Mehr news agency, the Guardian newspaper wrote in a report: Civil activists have called for a nationwide strike on Friday and have asked people to protest with the slogan “No work, no school, no shopping.”
Organizers say Friday’s general strike is part of a growing, nonviole moveme to couer the aggressive tactics of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforceme (ICE), which has so far killed Renee Goode and Alex Pretty in Minneapolis, Keith Porter in Los Angeles and Silverio Viegas Gonzalez in Illinois.
According to this report, studes play a key role in today’s protests and strikes, and stude groups, including black, Somali, Liberian, Ethiopian, and Eritrean stude associations, are involved in planning these protests.

The Guardian wrote: From restauras and clothing stores to bookstores and cafes, businesses in dozens of cities have announced they will be closed.
In cities such as Philadelphia, New York, Boise and Columbus, protesters gather in fro of city halls, courthouses, statehouses and legislatures, according to a protest action tracking system. High school and college studes in Florida, California and other states have also walked out.
In Milwaukee and Buffalo, Wyoming, people gathered in parks and on street corners. Some protesters, including in Washington, DC, have gathered in fro of Target stores. After immigration officials violely detained two Target employees in Richfield, Minnesota, activists are calling for coinued sanctions against the retailer.
Friday’s protests will be held at the same time as the partial shutdown of the federal governme; Because Senate Democrats and some Republicans have announced that they will oppose any budget bill that includes funding for the Departme of Homeland Security, the agency that oversees the Departme of Ielligence. Democrats are calling for a raft of reforms, including banning officers from wearing masks and requiring the immigration departme to obtain a warra to make arrests.
