The downing of 18 Ukrainian drones by the Russians in the past hours – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency

According to the report of Mehr News Agency, quoted by Russia Today, the Ministry of Defense of Russia announced the downing of 18 Ukrainian drones last night.
The Ministry of Defense of Russia reported that the coury’s air defense systems iercepted and destroyed 18 Ukrainian drones over differe regions of Russia, including Bryansk, Crimea and the Black Sea.
It should be noted that on February 21, 2022 (March 2, 1400), Russian Preside Vladimir Putin, criticizing the West’s indifference to Moscow’s security concerns, recognized the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics in the Donbas region.
Three days later, on Thursday, February 24 (March 5, 1400), Russian Preside Vladimir Putin launched a military operation against Ukraine, which he called a “special operation”, and thus the tense relations between Moscow and Kiev turned io a military confroation.
In response to this Russian action, America and Western couries have imposed extensive sanctions against Moscow and se billions of dollars of weapons and military equipme to Kiev.
