Protection of the heritage of the fourth millennium BC in Ilam; The ancient lands of Qala were liberated

According to ISNA; The vice preside of cultural heritage of Ilam province announced the equipping of the historical relics reservoir system, the acquisition of valuable lands of “Tepeh Qala”, the restoration of several historical castles and palaces, as well as the revision of the boundaries of two ancie sites in order to solve long-standing challenges with neighboring properties.

Raed Naserifar, the deputy of cultural heritage of Ilam province, while explaining the details of the actions taken in the field of protection and restoration of historical monumes, said:

During this period, restoration activities have been pursued in two main areas; Part of it was financed by provincial construction credits and part by national credits.

Regarding the details of national credits, he said:

The equipping of the historical monumes tank system was done with a budget of 500 million Tomans, which included the installation of strong metal walls, safe electrical system and iernal equipme. Naserifar listed the purpose of these measures as “preveing possible accides and increasing the security factor of the reservoirs” and added that the protection and electricity system of the archeology museum has also been completed with the same credit.

The deputy of cultural heritage of Ilam further poied to the situation of “Governor’s Castle” and said:

Part of the protection and electricity system of this complex was completed with a credit of 500 million Tomans. In addition, for the first time after the construction of the Governor’s Castle Museum, restoration of mannequins and objects inside the museum, renovation of clothes, equipme and showcases along with paiing of all doors and windows was done this year.

About the projects of databases and museum sites, Naserifar noted:

About 400 million Tomans have been spe on the iernal part of the city museum site. Also, about 500 million Tomans have been allocated in the prehistoric base of Dehlran, 500 million Tomans in Dareh Shahr and in the historical city of Simera. He also announced the coinuation of the 150-meter-long cobbled road of the historical city of Sirvan and the organization of the erance to this city.

In another part of his speech, he addressed the importa issue of land acquisition and clarified:

In the purchase and acquisition of lands, the acquisition of the lands of Tepe Qola, belonging to the fourth millennium BC, was carried out with a credit equivale to 3 billion tomans from the national funds. He also meioned the restoration of Ashraf al-Ashair Castle with a credit of 500 million Tomans and handing it over to the private sector and added that the repairs of the Walli Castle with 400 million Tomans, Falahati Palace with 100 million Tomans, and studies behind Abdanan Castle with 500 million Tomans, along with organizing the historical coext of Ilam, are other executive measures.

Naserifar we on to discuss archeological excavations and record works and said that this year the excavations in Darvand village and the Mimeh dam rescue project have been carried out. Expressing his satisfaction with the growth in the number of registered works in the last three years, he said:

This year, 6 iangible works and 7 sacred defense works have been registered, and the files of 13 other historical works have been iroduced to the ministry for the February meeting. He announced the total number of registered works of the province as 942.

The deputy of Ilam cultural heritage explained about the revision of the boundaries that had created challenges for the people, and one of these cases was the revision of the boundaries of the Governor’s Castle. In addition, Imamzadeh Saleh Majin’s sanctuary, Paqelea and Shakh Castle were also approved.

He emphasized:

In the past, some houses with a great distance from the castle were placed in the first or second degree of protection, but now these protections have been modified in a reasonable, logical and scieific manner. In the end, referring to the formation of a crisis committee to deal with the rains, Naserifar said: “Solutions such as water channels and covering the roofs were considered for vulnerable pois, and fortunately, no damage was done to the historical monumes of the province.”
