Expressing China’s hope to maintain national stability in Iran following Trump’s recent threats
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, in response to the warmongering threats of US President “Donald Trump” against Iran, expressed hope for the maintenance of national stability in Iran and asked the parties to exercise restraint.
According to RCO News Agency, Guo Jiakun, the spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, expressed hope that Iran will be able to maintain national stability and respect peace, exercise restraint, and resolve disputes through dialogue after the recent warmongering statements of US President Donald Trump against Iran.
On his way back from the Davos World Economic Forum meeting, the US President continued his recent rhetoric against Iran and said that “we are monitoring Iran.”
Al-Jazeera channel published this article and wrote: Trump said that “I prefer nothing to happen, but we are watching them carefully.”
These statements of Trump come in the wake of his recent threats of military action against Iran during the formation of peaceful livelihood protests of Iran’s classes and people in January. Although these protests were led to riots, violence and destruction by terrorist elements who, according to Tehran, have documentation of their connection with America and the Zionist regime.
The US President also made claims about talks with Iran at the signing ceremony of the Gaza “Peace Council” charter held on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, and said that Iran is interested in talks and that Washington is ready for talks.
Trump claimed: “Iran wants to talk and we will talk.”
Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi wrote in an article in the Wall Street Journal that “Iran always prefers peace to war, and we have always been ready for real and serious negotiations to reach a fair and balanced agreement”.
Araghchi also wrote: “Iran’s message to President Trump is clear; America has tried every imaginable hostile act from sanctions and cyber attack to direct military attack and most recently, igniting a major terrorist operation against Iran and all have failed. It is time to think differently. Try ‘Respect’, which will take us further than you can imagine.”
