Trump’s renewed threat to suppress protests in Minnesota!
In a message on Friday, US President Donald Trump threatened again that if he personally intervenes, he will quickly suppress the American protests in Minnesota!
According to Isna, Trump wrote in a message on the “Truth Social” social network: “In Minnesota, rioters, seditionists and disruptors are in most cases professional people with very high incomes. The governor and the mayor don’t know what to do, they have completely lost control and are now fed up. If – and when – I am forced to act, this will be resolved quickly and effectively. President Donald J. Trump.”
In the face of the continuation of the recent round of protests across his country against the violence and repression of the security agents and police in the city of Minneapolis, which has been applied in line with the wide-scale clashes with immigrants and the establishment of security, the President of the United States threatened to implement a law enacted in 1807 known as the “Riot Law”; A law that, if implemented, gives the President of the United States the authority to suppress under the pretext of security measures, such as sending military forces and federalizing the National Guard of the States under the pretext of dealing with urban disorder, rebellion, and even armed rebellion against the federal government.
This threat was raised a day after the American media reported that a man was shot and injured by an immigration officer during the protests in Minneapolis. This event happened after the people of various American cities demonstrated during the past days, especially on weekends, in protest against the repressive and violent methods of implementing immigration laws and security measures by the Trump administration; Protesters held demonstrations in dozens of American cities to protest against the behavior of this government and demanded accountability for those who have gone unpunished for a very long time.
After a 27-year-old American woman named “Renee Nicole Good” was killed on Wednesday, January 7th, after an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent shot him during an operation in the city of Minneapolis, a large wave of protests against the repression of law enforcement officers in cities across the United States.
Since January 7th, protesters in cities including New York, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, Portland, San Francisco, and Washington DC have condemned the demonstrations and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement for the killing of this 27-year-old woman.
On Wednesday, it was reported that the US Federal Police shot a protester at close range during a protest in Southern California in the “Santa Ana” area.
A video of the killing of Renee Nicole Goode shared online shows masked officers approaching a car parked in the middle of a street in downtown Minneapolis. After the vehicle began to move forward and accelerate, an officer shot him directly in the head, causing the vehicle to hit other cars parked on the side of the road.
The President of the United States also said that he watched the video of this incident and supported his killing by the security forces in a post on the social network Truth Social. He called the woman “very disorderly, obstructive and resistant” and said “it appears the police officer shot her in self-defense.”
Now, the continuation of new shootings and violence by American security forces and law enforcement against the protesters has intensified their anger against the authorities who are worried about the spread of demonstrations and protests even more.
