Mertes: It is impossible to deploy troops in Ukraine without Russia’s conse

The German chancellor said that the formation and deployme of multinational forces as part of security guaraees for Ukraine is impossible without Russia’s conse.
According to RCO News Agency, German Chancellor Friedrich Mertes said during a press conference on Thursday: “The arrangeme of actions in the formation and deployme of multinational forces must be done with the conse of Russia.”
According to the Sputnik News agency, the German chancellor emphasized: “First, a ceasefire, then security guaraees for Ukraine, and then a long-term peace agreeme with Russia must be established, and all this is impossible without Russia’s conse, which apparely we are still far from.”
“Nobody here, not a single EU member state or beyond, believes that we should go to Ukraine now to iervene in the ongoing conflict,” Mertes said.
He added: “We are only discussing military security for peace and for a ceasefire agreeme.”
European leaders on Tuesday during a meeting in Paris focused on solving the crisis in Ukraine, emphasized the provision of security guaraees to this war-torn European coury, and at the same time, signed a stateme on the deployme of multinational forces in Ukraine for the future.
