The Transitional Council of Yemen denied Al-Zubaidi’s escape – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to the report of Mehr news agency, quoted by Al-Mayadeen, the “Transitional Council of Southern Yemen” issued a statement and claimed that the head of this council, Eidros Al-Zubaidi, continues his duties from Aden and supervises military and security operations in southern Yemen.
The council added in its statement that the said council has lost contact with its delegation in Saudi Arabia and it has become difficult to communicate with the council delegation that arrived in Riyadh a few hours ago, and no official information is available so far about its location or the surrounding conditions.
In this regard, the Southern Transitional Council emphasized the continuation of its positive and responsible interaction with various political initiatives and dialogue efforts and announced that it was surprised by the airstrikes of Saudi planes on areas in Dhale province that resulted in the deaths of civilians.
The Saudi coalition announced on Wednesday that al-Zubaidi fled to an unknown location and left a number of other leaders of the Transitional Council on a plane that was allowed to fly to Riyadh.
The Saudi coalition announced this Wednesday morning that Eidros al-Zubaidi, the head of the Southern Transitional Council, fled to an unknown area after Saudi Arabia carried out about 15 airstrikes on the Zubayd area in Dhale in southern Yemen. Saudi attacks on this area in southern Yemen killed and wounded more than 25 people, including women and children.
In this regard, Hani Ben Brik, the vice-chairman of the Southern Transitional Council affiliated to the UAE, while attacking Saudi Arabia, accused this country of taking the path of betrayal and breaking the agreement and added that this will have immediate and future consequences.
In a strong statement, Ben Brik said that Saudi Arabia has targeted the people and leaders of the Transitional Council. He accused Riyadh of committing war crimes through airstrikes and using “terrorist tools” and stressed that these measures will not break the resistance of the government and the people of southern Yemen.
