Trump: Cuba is ready to fall
In a speech, the American president attacked Cuba and considered it to be on the verge of collapse. He also called the idea of a military operation in Colombia similar to the one in Venezuela “very good”.
According to Isna, US President Donald Trump threatened other countries and claimed that Cuba is ready to fall.
He, who recently led aggressive attacks against Venezuela, told reporters: “Cuba is ready to fall.” “It seems that Cuba is ready to fall.”
Trump, however, was skeptical about the need to take action against Cuba, saying, “I think (Cuba) is going to fall.” “I don’t think we need any action.”
The idea of a military operation in Colombia similar to Venezuela
Trump also hinted that he was considering an operation against the president of Colombia, accusing him of producing cocaine.
The US President, who previously accused Colombian President Gustavo Petro of being involved in the production of cocaine, did not deny the operation against him.
“Colombia is also very sick, it’s run by a sick man who likes to produce cocaine and sell it to the United States, and he’s not going to do that for a long time, let me tell you,” he told reporters. “He has cocaine factories.”
Trump added that the idea of a military operation in Colombia similar to Venezuela “sounds very good.”
Trump called Venezuela a “dead country”.
While Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is in US custody in New York, Trump called Venezuela a “dead country” and noted that the United States must bring it back to life!
“Venezuela is a dead country right now,” he told reporters. “We have to bring it back.”
Trump also claims that the United States is now running Venezuela.
After the arrest of Nicolás Maduro, the President of the United States announced that the United States is now running Venezuela and there is no need to ask him about it.
Asked who is currently running Venezuela, Trump told reporters, “Don’t ask me who’s in charge, because I’m going to tell you, and it’s going to be very controversial: We’re in charge.”
Trump about the possibility of elections in Venezuela
In response to a question about the possibility of holding elections in Venezuela, Donald Trump told the New York Post that the country must first be governed by law and order.
In response to a question about Venezuela’s elections, Trump said: “We have to run the country with law and order.” “We have to run a country where we can take advantage of the economy of what they have – valuable oil and other valuable things.”
According to him, holding elections in this country is a secondary issue considering that it is said that Venezuela is on the verge of economic collapse. “This country is ready – it has literally become a third world country that is ready to fail,” the US leader added.
In addition, he noted that apparently not all opposition candidates still have enough support to win the elections. Trump claims that the elections in Venezuela will be held at the right time. He once again claimed that the country is bankrupt and there is no money.
Trump’s claim about Maduro’s immediate surrender
The US president also claims that Nicolás Maduro surrendered to US forces “immediately” when he was arrested.
“Maduro immediately surrendered, put his hands up, surrendered and did the right thing,” Trump told reporters.
He also said that a number of US soldiers wounded in US operations in Venezuela were “in good condition”.
Trump, who called the US military operation to arrest Maduro very violent, told reporters: “We were very effective and the operation was very quick and violent. “It was very violent, but we were very effective.”
Venezuela’s operation on China “has no effect”
Trump also believes that his actions in Venezuela will not affect relations with the Chinese leader. This is while the international community has condemned Trump’s warmongering and opportunism and considered it a violation of the sovereignty of an independent country and a violation of international norms.
However, Trump believes that his military operations in Venezuela will not affect his relations with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. Meanwhile, Beijing has condemned Washington’s actions against Caracas.
Asked if the arrest of Nicolás Maduro by US forces would affect his relationship with Xi Jinping, Trump told reporters: “I don’t think so. I have a very good relationship. “We have the power to impose tariffs and he has other powers over us.”
US military presence in Venezuela
Trump also told reporters when asked if US troops would be in Venezuela: “It depends on what happens. “It depends a little bit on the new administration, if you want to call it that.”
The US president also claims that US oil companies are eager to work in Venezuela and will invest in the country’s infrastructure.
“Big investments by oil companies (will come to Venezuela) to restore infrastructure,” he told reporters. Oil companies are ready to go. They are going to go.”
This is while it was previously reported that Trump told American oil companies that if they want to receive their damages from Venezuela, they must first invest billions of dollars there.
Russia and Ukraine will reach an agreement “at some point”.
In another part of his speech, the American president mentioned the developments of the war in Ukraine and said that he is confident that Russia and Ukraine will reach an agreement “at some point”.
He, who before taking office for the second term of the presidency, said that he would resolve the Ukraine issue in 100 days, told reporters: “I think we will reach an agreement at some point, I hope it will not be too far.” “I have not set a deadline for resolving the conflict in Ukraine.”
The European Union and security goals in Greenland
Meanwhile, Donald Trump claimed that the EU apparently needs US ownership of Greenland for national security reasons.
“We need Greenland for national security, and the European Union needs us to have it,” Trump told reporters.
He also repeated his claims that Chinese and Russian ships had apparently blockaded the Danish island.
However, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen issued a strong message urging the United States to end what he described as “threats against one of America’s closest allies.” The self-governing territory within the framework of the Kingdom of Denmark has received increasing attention from the United States in recent years. This island is strategically important due to its geographical location and natural resources.
Frederiksen’s statement underscores Denmark’s position on the issue and reflects the ongoing diplomatic talks between the two countries on the situation in Greenland.
Following the US aggressive operation against Venezuela, figures close to the “MAGA” movement led by the US President clearly welcomed the Venezuelan operation and turned their gaze towards the Danish territory of Greenland.
Shortly after the U.S. operation in Venezuela, right-wing American podcaster Kathy Miller posted a provocative image of a map of Greenland covered with the U.S. flag and captioned her post, “Coming Soon.”
Kathy Miller is the wife of Steven Miller; A person described as Trump’s powerful deputy chief of staff for policy. The move sparked immediate reactions in Denmark and heightened concerns about Trump’s plans for Greenland.
