Trump claimed rule of law: Law and order must be established in Venezuela! – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Russia’s Sputnik, Donald Trump emphasized in an ierview with the New York Post newspaper that the administration of the coury should be in a way that allows the exploitation of valuable economic resources, especially oil.
Trump considered the holding of elections a secondary issue in the curre situation and claimed that Venezuela is on the verge of economic collapse. He also said that the opposition candidates still do not have enough support to win the elections.
These statemes came as the United States launched a massive attack on Venezuela on January 3, and Preside Nicolas Maduro and his wife CeliaFlores arrested and transferred to New York. Trump announced that they would be tried on charges of “drug-related terrorism.”
In response to this illegal US action, the Venezuelan governme called for an urge meeting of the United Nations Delsey Rodríguez, the vice preside, temporarily assumed the presidency. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and China also called for the immediate release of Maduro and his wife, and called the actions of the United States a clear violation of iernational law.
