According to the Mehr news agency, citing the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ website, Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati had a telephone conversation with Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi, following his phone calls with his counterparts in the region.
In this phone call, they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Egypt and Oman.
Abdul Ati emphasized the importance of promoting bilateral cooperation in priority areas in order to serve the common interests of the two nations.
Regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip, this Egyptian official pointed to Cairo’s current efforts to consolidate the ceasefire and ensure its continuation, and move to the next stage of the US President’s plan, and ensure the full arrival of humanitarian aid and create the necessary conditions for early recovery and reconstruction.
Regarding the developments of the situation in a number of regional cases, Abdul Ati emphasized the importance of reducing tension and supporting ways to calm the situation and diplomatic solutions in order to help strengthen regional security and stability and protect the interests of the nations of the region, the importance of establishing peace in Yemen and reducing tension and realizing the Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue to fully resolve the crisis, away from any unilateral measures in order to help achieve security and stability for the nation of this country.
In this phone call, developments related to Iran’s nuclear case were also discussed.
In this regard, the Egyptian Foreign Minister considered it important to continue the ongoing efforts to reduce tension and build trust and provide conditions for creating a real opportunity for diplomatic solutions and resuming dialogue with the aim of reaching a comprehensive agreement on the nuclear issue that takes into account the interests of all parties and helps to achieve regional security and stability.
