Araghchi’s emphasis on Iran’s support for the people and the elected government of Venezuela
Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Ivan Khel Pinto, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, discussed the latest developments following the US military invasion of Venezuela in a phone call on Saturday evening.
According to RCO News Agency, in this telephone conversation, while strongly condemning the US military aggression against Venezuela and the kidnapping of the legitimate president of this country and his wife, the foreign minister of our country considered this act as a clear example of state terrorism and a clear attack on the sovereignty and national will of the Venezuelan nation, and emphasized the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the people and the elected government of Venezuela.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela also appreciated the principled positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in declaring solidarity with Venezuela, and emphasized that the people and the government of Venezuela are determined to defend their national sovereignty and the right to self-determination against the bullying and illegal policies of the United States.
