Venezuelan Foreign Minister’s telephone conversation with Seyyed Abbas Araghchi
Following the escalation of tensions between Caracas and Washington, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela announced that he had a conversation with his Iranian counterpart and received Tehran’s support against what he called a clear violation of international law.
According to Isna, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, Ivan Khel, announced that he had discussions with Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, about the latest developments.
Referring to these consultations, Khel emphasized: “We have received the support of the Iranian government and the people of Venezuela in the face of the clear violation of international law by the United States government,” according to the Al-Mayadeen network report.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela added that this support was expressed in the circumstances that Caracas considers the recent actions of the US as a serious attack on the principles of international law and the national sovereignty of countries.
