Trump: America will rule Venezuela
The US president has said that the US intends to rule Venezuela until “it can carry out a safe, orderly and reasonable transition of power”.
According to Isna, US President Donald Trump said in a press conference in Florida on Saturday that based on his order, US armed forces have conducted an “exceptional military operation” in Venezuela, and the purpose of this operation was to arrest Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro for what he called “confrontation with American justice”.
Emphasizing the success of the operation, Trump once again praised the terrorist operations against Iran and said: “The operation was carried out with high precision and efficiency and was similar to the previous operations against (martyred Sardar Shahid) Soleimani and the attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.”
He also said that this operation was similar to the killing of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
The American president added: “Maduro was arrested in the dark of night and his wife is also with him. None of the American forces were killed and no military equipment was lost.”
“The operation was carried out in coordination with American law enforcement agencies, and our naval fleet was on full alert,” he said.
Oil sanctions against Venezuela remain in force
Referring to the issue of drug trafficking, Trump claimed: “Most of the drugs entered the United States through Venezuela, and this operation was part of our effort to stop it.”
The US President further claimed: “We want a safe and just transition in Venezuela and we want peace, freedom and justice for the people of this country.” We cannot leave the leadership in the hands of a person who does not consider the interests of the people.”
Trump pointed to the restriction of Venezuela’s oil exports due to the blockade and sanctions of the United States and said: “This country has been under pressure for a long time and its oil production was much lower than its real capacity.”
The President of the United States said that despite the recent developments, the country’s oil sanctions against Venezuela remain in force.
He also said that the United States intends to rule the country until “Venezuela is able to carry out a safe, orderly and reasonable transition of power.”
Trump announced: “If necessary, we are ready to carry out the last and biggest attack, and the actions that the United States is able to take will improve the situation of the Venezuelan people.”
America will manage the affairs of Venezuela
He claimed: America will manage Venezuela’s affairs and Maduro is accused of running a “criminal network for drug trafficking to America” and he and his wife are responsible for “the death of a large number of Americans” and both will “face American justice”.
Trump also announced that Maduro and his wife “are being transferred to New York on an American ship.”
He also added that the American forces have “neutralized and paralyzed all the military power of Venezuela” and are ready for a “second attack on Venezuela” if necessary, but he believes that there is probably no need to do this.
Claiming that Washington has been safe since eight months ago, the president accused the Maduro regime of “sending its most dangerous imprisoned criminals to the United States.”
Maduro hosted the foreign rivals of America in Venezuela
Donald Trump continued: Venezuela has unilaterally taken control of American assets and oil platforms.
He also claimed that the United States “cut off the electricity in the city of Caracas using its capabilities and expertise.”
Referring to Nicolás Maduro, Trump said that the Venezuelan president “hosted foreign competitors of the United States on the soil of this country”.
The Monroe Doctrine is very important
He added: The Monroe Doctrine is very important and we will not forget it from now on. Washington is “redefining and reasserting American power” and the region today is fundamentally different from before.
Trump also claims that America will “secure its borders and crush drug gangs”.
The US president described the operation in Caracas as “successful” and considered it a “clear message to all those who threaten the United States” and warned: “People like Maduro must know that what happened to him may happen to others.”
We were looking to recover our stolen oil!
US Secretary of War Pete Hegst also claimed on Saturday that the operation in Venezuela was “historic” and “completely and perfectly executed”.
He added: “No country in the world is capable of carrying out an operation similar to what we did in Venezuela.”
Hegst emphasized that the United States can use its lethal and military capabilities “anytime, anywhere” and that the recent operation was aimed at “stopping the flow of drugs and criminal gangs, as well as recovering stolen oil.”
The American Minister of War claimed: Nicolás Maduro also had his chance; Just like Iran. But that opportunity was lost. He gambled and saw the consequences.
The attack on Venezuela was carried out under the cover of night
Referring to the details of the operation, General Dan Kane, the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces, said that this action was “completely precise, secretive and carried out under the cover of night.”
“Preparations for this operation began several months ago, and we used our advanced intelligence capabilities to make it a success,” Kane added.
Maduro had many opportunities!
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has claimed that Maduro has been accused in the US since 2022 and is no longer considered the legitimate president of Venezuela and is currently running away from justice.
Rubio claimed that Trump is “a boss of actions, not words” and everyone should know that fact. Maduro had many opportunities but did not use any of them.
Rubio also threatened that the recent operation against Maduro is a “clear message” to others so that no one tries to play with Trump.
Machado is not highly respected in Venezuela
In this press conference, the President of the United States also said that Washington is talking to several figures about how to govern Venezuela, and that the United States wants to make sure that the country is governed properly and fairly.
Trump said: We want the people of Venezuela to be taken care of and their country governed properly, and the United States is ready to return to Venezuela if necessary to prevent the “bad guys” from coming to power after Nicolás Maduro.
According to him, Washington will not allow figures who are threatening to the United States to succeed Maduro.
The US president also announced that the US will appoint people to run Venezuela and talks are underway with the country’s opposition leader.
Trump said that “Maria Machado”, the opposition figure of the Venezuelan government, “is a good woman, but she does not have a lot of respect in Venezuela.”
He claimed that the ultimate goal is to make Venezuela a “great country”.
Referring to the recent operation in Venezuela, Trump said that the US Congress was not informed about the operation because there were concerns about information leaks.
He added: Maduro could not react due to the “surprise” of the operation and will soon be tried in New York.
He also stated that Venezuela’s speedy administration is considered by Washington, although this process will take time. Russia and some other countries want Venezuela’s oil, and America plans to sell it to them.
According to his claim, Venezuela’s oil revenues will ultimately be spent for the benefit of the people of this country, and the United States will be with the Venezuelan people in the upcoming elections, and the foreign and war ministers of the United States have a mission to work with different personalities to manage this country.
Trump also threatened “Gustavo Petro” and claimed that the president of Colombia has factories for the production of cocaine that is sent to the United States, and he should be very careful.
Rodriguez is ready to work with Washington
The US president also said his administration believes Venezuelan Vice President Delsey Rodriguez is “in principle ready to do whatever we need to do to make Venezuela great again.”
Trump said Rodriguez was sworn in as Venezuela’s president after Maduro’s arrest and had spoken with Rubio and assured him he was ready to work with Washington.
