The reaction of Mexico and Brazil to the US military aggression against Venezuela

Mexico and Brazil issued separate statemes condemning the US military aggression against Venezuela.
According to Isna, the Mexican governme issued a stateme announcing that it strongly condemns and rejects the unilateral military actions carried out by the US armed forces against targets in the territory of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. Actions that clearly violate Article 2 of the United Nations Charter.
Based on the principles of its foreign policy and pacifist approach, Mexico immediately demands respect for iernational law, as well as the principles and purposes of the United Nations Charter, and the cessation of any aggressive actions against the governme and people of Venezuela, the stateme said.
Mexico stated that “Latin America and the Caribbean is a peaceful region based on mutual respect, the peaceful resolution of disputes and the prohibition of the use or threat of use of force”, emphasizing that any military action would seriously endanger the stability of the region. Dialogue and negotiation are the only legitimate and effective ways to resolve existing disputes, and reiterates its readiness to support any effort to facilitate dialogue, mediation or accompanime that will help maiain regional peace and preve confroation.
At the end of this stateme, the Mexican governme announced: We ask the United Nations to act immediately and help reduce tensions, facilitate dialogue and create the necessary conditions to achieve a peaceful, sustainable solution in accordance with iernational law.
In response to rece attacks against Venezuela, Brazilian Preside Lula da Silva declared that “bombing Venezuela and arresting the preside of this coury is crossing an unacceptable line.”
He described these actions as “a serious insult to the sovereigy of Venezuela” and “a very dangerous precede for the iernational community” and called for a decisive response from the iernational community through the United Nations.
The preside of Brazil emphasized that this attack is a reminder of “the worst momes of ierference in the politics of Latin America and the Caribbean region” and warned that “attacking couries in clear violation will be the first step towards a world full of violence, chaos and instability.”
