He added: The president of Venezuela has ordered the activation of the national defense plan throughout the country. The president has ordered a state of emergency in the country. Venezuela reserves the right to legitimately defend its nation, lands and sovereignty. What is happening now is the aggression against Venezuela, and it will face the activation of defense plans very soon.

Venezuela’s foreign minister said: This attack is from American imperialism. Venezuela opposes this dangerous military aggression by the US government. We strongly condemn the dangerous US military aggression against our country. The purpose of this attack on our country is to seize our oil and gas resources.

He said: The government wants all national forces in the country to activate public mobilization plans. We turn to the Security Council and regional and international organizations to deal with this aggression. The president has signed the state of emergency order.
