Ukraine: Russia seeks false flag operation
Ukraine’s intelligence service claimed that Moscow plans to carry out an attack with high casualties, possibly against a church, on the eve of the Russian Orthodox Christmas.
According to RCO News Agency, the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine claimed today (Friday) that the Kremlin is seeking to carry out a deceptive so-called “false flag” attack inside the territory of Russia or inside its territories in Ukraine with the aim of derailing the peace talks.
Recently, Kiev also claimed that Moscow lied about the Ukrainian drone attack against the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin in order to disrupt the Ukrainian peace process, and now it has once again accused Russia of planning to launch a staged attack with high casualties before the Russian Orthodox Christian Christmas, which falls on January 7th.
The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine claimed to issue this warning based on monitoring the Kremlin’s preparations to intensify the spread of false information.
The statement of the intelligence service claimed: “We have a high probability of predicting a transition from a biased influence to an armed provocative action by the special services (of the Russian Federation) that caused significant human casualties.”
According to the website “Paltico”, it was written in the continuation of this statement: “The target of this provocative action may be a religious building or other targets of high symbolic importance both inside (Russia) and in the temporarily occupied areas of Ukraine.”
This intelligence service accused the Kremlin of planning to blame the attack on Ukraine, and for this purpose it will deploy Western-made drones that are brought from the frontline to the site of a fake attack.
