Russia asked the United Nations to condemn the attack on civilians in Kherson – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Tass, Gennady Gatilov, the permane represeative of Russia at the United Nations office and other iernational organizations in Geneva, announced that Volker Turk, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, should immediately condemn the terrorist act of the Ukrainian army in Kherson province, which led to the death of 24 civilians.
He said: Hiding this tragedy will be an open complicity and participation in the bloody crimes of Ukrainian neo-Nazis.
This Russian diplomat said: The main goal of the Kyiv regime is to seize power by any means possible, to distract public opinion from the failures of the Ukrainian armed forces on the fros, and to destroy any attempt to reach a peaceful solution to the conflict.
Tensions between Russia and Ukraine have escalated in rece days after the Ukrainian drone attack on the residence of Russian Preside Vladimir Putin. Ukraine has denied the attack on Kherson during the New Year holidays, as well as the attack on Putin’s residence.
