In this statement, “John K. Accusing Iran and Venezuela of “aggressive and reckless expansion of deadly weapons in the world,” US Deputy Treasury Secretary Hurley has warned that he will “hold Tehran and Caracas accountable.”
The U.S. Treasury Department claimed that this new action was carried out in the continuation of the activation of the trigger mechanism against Iran and said that Iran’s drone and missile programs threaten “US forces and its allies” in West Asia and lead to “instability of commercial shipping in the Red Sea.”
The department also claimed that “the supply of conventional arms to Caracas” is a threat to US interests in the Western Hemisphere, and that Washington will use “all available means” to prevent this trade.
