The corresponding committee of water quality located in the National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences was honored by the National Standards Organization of Iran due to its specialized, effective and coinuous activities in the field of national and iernational standardization.
According to RCO News Agency, In 1404, this committee has played an importa role in improving the technical position of the Islamic Republic of Iran in specialized forums by actively participating in the formulation of 105 iernational standards in the field of water quality and providing 264 technical and editorial commes on draft iernational standards. Also, effective participation in the formulation of 12 national standards is one of the significa achievemes of this committee this year.
Membership in the five technical working groups of the Iernational Organization for Standardization (ISO), establishme and leadership (Convenor) of a new working group ceered on “Silica” and proposing a new issue for the developme of an iernational standard by the Islamic Republic of Iran in the ISO organization, which was accompanied by the selection of a project leader from Iran, are among the outstanding and strategic actions of this committee.
Holding a training workshop eitled “Structure, participation opportunities and role in the developme of iernational standards”, active participation in national and iernational conferences, participation in the planning committees of water, environme and chemistry of the National Organization of Standards of Iran, participating in specialized exhibitions and holding a joi specialized meeting with the Environmeal Research Institute, are among the other promine activities of the releva water quality committee in 1404.
Quoting from the public relations of the National Institute of Oceanography, the National Standards Organization of Iran appreciated these measures and considered the role of the corresponding water quality committee of the National Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences in developing the standardization process, improving the quality of the coury’s water and strengthening Iran’s technical presence in iernational arenas as importa and worthy of recognition.
