According to Isna, American Preside Donald Trump announced the phone call of “Fazandeh” with Russian Preside Vladimir Putin hours before meeting with his Ukrainian couerpart.
According to the Sputnik News agency, Yuri Ushakov, the assista to the Russian preside, said: “During the phone call with Putin, Trump discussed the prospects for economic cooperation of the United States with Russia and Ukraine.”
While poiing out that this call was made at the request of the US Preside, the Kremlin aide added: “Trump waed to discuss a number of issues with Putin before meeting with Zelensky (Preside of Ukraine) in person.”
Referring to the call, which lasted for about an hour and 15 minutes, Ushakov said: “Trump waed to discuss the curre situation with Putin regarding the conflict in Ukraine and the possibility of resolving it.”
“The tone of the talks has been described as friendly, constructive and business-like, and Trump has strongly emphasized the idea of ending the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible,” Putin’s aide noted.
According to Yuri Ushakov’s accou of the call, Donald Trump said he was convinced Russia was seeking “a political and diplomatic settleme” and that Ukraine should make a decision on Donbass immediately, taking io accou the situation on the fro lines.
He added: “Putin and Trump agreed that a temporary ceasefire under the pretext of a referendum will only prolong the conflict.”
