While pointing out that this call was made at the request of the US President, the Kremlin aide added: “Trump wanted to discuss a number of issues with Putin before meeting with Zelensky (President of Ukraine) in person.”

Referring to the call, which lasted for about an hour and 15 minutes, Ushakov said: “Trump wanted to discuss the current situation with Putin regarding the conflict in Ukraine and the possibility of resolving it.”
