The reaction of the Islamic Council of Syrian Alawites to the attack of the Golan forces on the demonstrators – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al-Akhbar, the Islamic Council of Syrian Alawites, in a stateme condemning the use of violence against defenseless civilians in this coury, announced that what happened is a “gross and obvious violation” of humanitarian laws and iernational treaties that guaraee the right to freedom of expression and holding peaceful gatherings.
In a stateme, this council emphasized that the regime in Syria has exposed its repressive nature to the eyes of the world and has dealt with all forms of terrorism and iimidation against unarmed civilians who came to the streets to demand their legitimate rights.
The Alevi Islamic Council stated that the viole confroation with peaceful protesters is a clear violation of human principles and iernational law, and the responsibility for its consequences rests with the parties who engaged in such repressive measures.
The Syrian Alawite Islamic Council asked the people to return to their homes to protect their lives and safety.
At the same time, this council emphasized that this invitation does not mean giving up on “legitimate rights” and adherence to legal and peaceful demands will coinue.
