According to RCO News Agency, US President Donald Trump said in an interview with Politico magazine that he is going to have a conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin soon and he hopes that this call will go well.
Referring to his Sunday meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, he added: I think the conversation with Putin and Zelensky will go well.
The US president announced that the Ukrainian president’s peace plan would have “no value” without his approval.
Earlier, Zelensky said that during his meeting with Trump in Florida, he plans to discuss territorial issues, including the possibility of Ukrainian troops withdrawing from Donbass and the use of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant.
On December 24, 1404, Zelenskiy unveiled his 20-point plan for peace with Russia. In this plan, he still emphasized on not withdrawing from Donbass and the right to have an army of 800,000 people.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov announced that Zelensky’s plan is fundamentally different from the 27-point plan that Russia has been discussing with the American side since early December and in recent weeks.
