According to the Mehr news agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, the United States and Ukraine announced in a joint statement that a series of “constructive” meetings were held in Florida with the participation of the Ukrainian delegation and American and European partners over the past three days, and the focus of these talks was to examine the frameworks and practical steps to achieve peace in Ukraine.
In this joint statement, it is stated that the Ukrainian delegation had intensive and constructive consultations with the American and European sides during three days, and also a separate meeting between American and Ukrainian officials was held in Florida, which was described as “constructive”.
The two sides announced that in these negotiations, the timetables and order of the next steps related to the peace plan of Ukraine were examined, and the development of the “Twenty Plan” and the unification of positions regarding security guarantees for Ukraine were discussed.
In the continuation of the statement, it is emphasized that Ukraine is still committed to the realization of a just and sustainable peace, and the desired peace should not be limited to the cessation of conflicts, but should create a solid foundation for a stable future.
The United States and Ukraine also announced that the main priority is to stop the war, ensure security and provide the necessary conditions for the reconstruction, recovery and long-term stability of Ukraine.
This statement was issued while the continuation of the war in Ukraine and the erosion of the conflicts, the diplomatic efforts of the West to develop a political framework for managing the crisis have increased.
