America copied Iran’s “Shahed 136” drone/ “Kashor Creative” became an imitator! – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to Mehr news agency, “National Interest” magazine announced in a report that the US Marine Corps recently designed and produced a low-cost combat attack drone or “Lucas” that is a copy of Iranian drones.
The National Interest writes about this: The United States has always considered itself the most creative nation in the world and imitator of other nations and governments, but today in many fields, especially drones, the situation is reversed. China, Russia, Türkiye and Ukraine have invested a lot of resources in the production of drones, while the US has been content with past achievements. But one drone power has been more effective than others; the country Iran As evidenced by the cheap and effective drones, they played a prominent role in recent conflicts.
Claiming that Russia used these Iranian drones in the Ukraine war, this American publication added: The efficiency of the Shahid drone shows itself in its widespread use (in the world). Many of the world’s top military powers have lined up to buy these drones. Russia has become dependent on them in Ukraine. Israel is worried about their presence in its sky. Venezuela has allowed Iran to build several factories for the production of these drones in its territory; And in a strange way, the Americans also fell in love with these Iranian drones and built this type of drone by reverse engineering.
According to the National Interest, the US Navy’s Lucas UAV has a structure completely similar to the Shahid-136 UAV in terms of appearance, and there are no signs of independent innovation and creativity in it.
The report continued by pointing out that “the United States acquired a witness drone and by dissecting its technology, created the American version of Lucas.” This report also claims that in 2011, Iran was able to build the foundations of its UAV program by reverse engineering the American RQ-170 drone, and this technology made it possible to build the initial models of Shahid, and then Iran produced more advanced systems that are now described as beyond the production capacity of the United States.
In the continuation of this report, it is stated that some may consider this US action as a “reciprocal response” to Iran’s reverse engineering, but the main importance here is that the US military is now using the technology of a country that for years did not accept it as an advanced country in the military field.
In early December, CNN reported that “the US Army formed its first squadron of attack drones in West Asia, which uses drones whose design and technology are directly taken from Iran.” This squadron is under the control of a special group that was formed a few months ago by the command of American terrorist forces in the region (CENTCOM), and was named as the special group “Scorpion Attack”.
An American military official said in a conversation with CNN: Lucas drones were made after reverse engineering Iran’s Shahid drone. In the press release of the command of the US terrorist forces in the region (CENTCOM), it was also announced that the Lucas drones deployed by CENTCOM have a wide range and are designed for automatic operations. They can be launched by a variety of mechanisms, including catapults, rocket-assisted launch, and mobile ground and vehicle systems.
