The US intelligence official denied the reports against Russia
The Director of National Intelligence has dismissed reports that agencies under his supervision believe Russia may be seeking to conquer Europe.
According to RCO News Agency, Tulsi Gabbard, director of US National Intelligence, also said that such assessments are an attempt to undermine Washington’s efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine.
Reuters reported on Saturday that the US intelligence community may be convinced that Russian President Vladimir Putin is seeking to “seize all of Ukraine and retake parts of Europe that belonged to the Soviet Empire.”
Gabbard wrote on Channel X (Twitter): “The warmongers of the covert government and its propaganda media are once again trying to undermine US President Donald Trump’s efforts to bring peace to Ukraine by falsely claiming that the US intelligence community supports the EU/NATO point of view and agrees that Russia’s goal is to invade/conquer Europe.”
He further wrote: “These claims are aimed at gaining support for the war support policies of these warmongers.”
Putin previously said that Russia does not want to go to war with Europe, but if Europe decides to do so, Moscow is ready now.
