Publication of morally scandalous documes of curre and former American officials – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency

According to Mehr news agency, citing Rashatoudi, the US Departme of Justice published a large collection of documes related to the ministry’s investigation of “Jeffrey Epstein”, a trafficker and sex offender, online.
These documes were released under the “Epstein Files Transparency Act”; A law requiring the Justice Departme to release records related to the federal criminal investigation of Epstein and his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.
The archive coains a large number of photographs of Jeffrey Epstein, his accomplice and others during trips to places such as Bali in Indonesia, Morocco and Sai-Tropez in France. Many of these images have been heavily censored to remove information that could reveal the ideity of poteial victims or coain child sexual abuse coe, as required by law.
The Ministry of Justice has announced on the website that hosts these documes that necessary efforts have been made to review and delete personal information related to victims and other people. However, due to the large volume of documes, there is a possibility of unieional release of some sensitive information.
It is not yet clear whether Friday’s release included all the documes available to the Ministry of Justice or only a part of them. American officials have announced that more documes may be released.
Earlier, US Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said that the release would include “several hundred thousand” documes and that more files are likely to be released in the coming weeks. The timing has drawn criticism because the law requires the Justice Departme to release all documes in its possession by December 19.
The move comes after mohs of political pressure and public coroversy surrounding the Epstein case. Epstein’s case has been in the public eye since his death in a New York prison in 2019. Lawmakers and victims’ rights groups have long called for more transparency about the handling of the investigation and Epstein’s network of communications.
