According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain strongly criticized the US sanctions against the Iernational Criminal Court and announced: This action is a new and open attack on the independence and impartiality of this iernational judicial institution.
The stateme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain has emphasized that the sanctions imposed by Washington have seriously affected the functioning of the Iernational Criminal Court and weaken the ability of this court to carry out its legal missions.
Madrid also demanded to respect the mechanisms of iernational law and refrain from exerting political pressure on independe judicial institutions.
The US State Departme on Thursday announced sanctions against two judges of the Iernational Criminal Court for what it called “unlawful targeting of Israel”.
