Washington added 7 more couries, including Syria, to the list of prohibited ery io the United States

Trump expanded the list of couries with a complete travel ban and added seven more couries, including Syria, on the basis of which citizens of these couries are not allowed to eer the United States.
According to RCO News Agency, the White House announced in a stateme that “Donald Trump” the Preside of the United States has signed a declaration that “expands and strengthens the restrictions on the ery of nationals of couries that have obvious, persiste and severe deficiencies in screening, investigation and sharing of information to protect the coury against threats to national security and public safety.”
According to Reuters News agency, this action by Trump has banned the ery of citizens of Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, South Sudan, Syria and those who have travel documes issued by the Palestinian Authority.
The measure also imposes a complete ban on ery to Laos and Sierra Leone, which were previously only subject to partial restrictions.
The White House also announced that these expanded bans will take effect on January 1, 2026.
This action has been taken despite Trump’s promise to do everything for Syria after his meeting and talks with ierim Syrian Preside al-Jolani.
After two American soldiers and a civilian translator were killed in Syria by a suspected ISIS attacker, Trump backed Jolani but vowed serious retaliation in a post on social platform TruthSocial on Saturday.
In justifying the ban, the White House poied to the high overstay rate for Syrians and said: “Syria is emerging from a long period of civil unrest and iernal conflict.” While the coury works in close coordination with the United States to address its security challenges, it still lacks an adequate ceral authority to issue passports or civil documes, and lacks adequate screening and vetting measures.
In June, Trump signed a proclamation banning the ery of citizens of 12 couries and restricting the ery of seven couries, saying that this action was taken to protect the coury from foreign terrorists and other security threats.
These restrictions apply to both immigras and nonimmigras, such as tourists, studes, and business travelers.
The White House also announced that the travel ban for those 12 couries remains in place.
Trump also added minor restrictions and ery restrictions for 15 other couries, including Nigeria. In early November, he threatened military action over the treatme of Christians in the African coury.
