The date of the first session of the sixth session of the Iraqi Parliame has been determined – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency

According to the report of Mehr News Agency, quoted by Al-Frat News, Iraqi Preside Abdul Latif Rashid announced on Monday, December 29, 2025 the date of holding the first session of the sixth session of the Iraqi Parliame.
The Preside of Iraq announced in a decree that after confirming the final results of the elections, he will set the date of the first session of the Parliame on Monday, December 29.
According to the Iraqi constitution, the first meeting is chaired by the Sunni leader and the largest member of the parliame.
Earlier, the Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq announced that the election of the speaker of the parliame and two deputies should be done within 15 days from the confirmation of the results on December 14, 2025.
Also, a new preside must be appoied within 30 days from the date of the first session of the parliame and after the election of the preside and two deputies.
From the date of the election of the Iraqi preside, within 15 days, the prime minister is required to form a new governme.
The Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq stated that a new cabinet must be formed within 30 days from the date of the appoime of the prime minister.
