The axes of Lavrov and Araghchi’s consultation from the Iranian ambassador
Referring to the Iranian Foreign Minister’s visit to Moscow, Iran’s ambassador to Russia said that the high-ranking diplomats of the two countries will discuss a wide range of issues.
According to RCO News Agency, Kazem Jalali, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow, stressed that relations between Tehran and Moscow are reaching a new level at the same time as Seyyed Abbas Araghchi visited Russia.
Speaking to Tass News agency, Uke said: “After the signing and entry into force of the agreement (comprehensive strategic partnership), relations between Iran and the Russian Federation will enter a new stage of development.”
Jalali further pointed out that the main focus of Iran’s foreign minister’s visit to Russia will be on bilateral issues.
Iran’s senior diplomat added: “In addition to bilateral issues, the foreign minister will discuss regional and international issues that are of great importance.”
The ambassador of our country also said: “In our region, both countries share the following issues: the agenda of the Caucasus, Central Asia, Afghanistan, security issues in the region and the Caspian Sea.”
He also said that high-ranking Iranian and Russian diplomats will discuss and consult on security issues.
He also emphasized that in order to successfully transform all the provisions of the above-mentioned agreement into practical implementation, the parties must talk to each other.
Jalali went on to clarify: “Exactly in this direction, that is, the development of dialogue between our countries, the minister is coming to Moscow.”
Referring to the fields of interaction between Moscow and Tehran, he said: “Another issue on the international agenda is our cooperation through the United Nations.” It also requires that we meet more often and discuss key issues related to the international agenda.”
According to TASS report, the Russian Foreign Ministry had previously reported that Lavrov and Araghchi plan to discuss in detail current international issues in Moscow, especially the situation surrounding Iran’s nuclear program.
