Shooting at the Jewish ceremony in Australia + video – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency

According to the Mehr news agency, citing the Zionist newspaper The Times of Israel, a Jewish eve in Australia was attacked. At the time of the shooting a few minutes ago on Sydney’s Bunda Beach, a Hanukkah celebration was taking place.
The pictures published from the scene of the incide apparely show that two armed men started shooting from a bridge.
Australian media reported the arrest of 2 people suspected of shooting. According to the report of the American newspaper New York Times, 10 people were injured in this shooting. The police asked those prese in the area to take shelter in safe areas.
Hanukkah is a Jewish religious festival, which is also called the Feast of Lights. This ceremony usually lasts for 8 days and is held in November or December. Hanukkah commemorates the victory of the Maccabean Jews over the Seleucid governme in the second ceury BC. In Western couries with Jewish populations, Hanukkah is usually celebrated in public spaces such as parks, squares, and beaches.
