Rashid: We consider any obstruction in Iran’s path as an enemy against Iraq – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency

According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Shafaq News, the Presides of Iran and Iraq, Masoud Al-Rashidian and Abdul Latif al-Rashid, met on the sidelines of the Iernational Peace and Trust Summit in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, and discussed bilateral relations and developmes in the region.
Expressing his satisfaction at meeting with his Iranian couerpart, the Preside of Iraq poied to the successful process of the elections in his coury and emphasized that Iraq considers Iran to be its most importa neighbor, the security of the two couries is tied together, and Iran’s coinuous support to the governme and people of Iraq will always be appreciated.
Abdul Latif Rashid emphasized in this meeting that any obstruction against Iran is considered an attack on Iraq.
He also addressed the attacks of the Zionist regime against Palestine and the couries of the region, including Iran, and emphasized the need to play a necessary role and take a clear and decisive stance against these attacks and added: The Zionist regime is the main cause of regional crises and creates problems not only through military aggression, but also through its commercial and economic actions that preve the establishme of constructive relations between the couries of the region.
Rashid stated: The couries of the region, especially Iran and Iraq, must form a strong and effective campaign within the framework of Europe and the United Nations to clearly state their positions regarding Israel’s threats.
The Preside of Iraq also emphasized the need to expand security, commercial, industrial, scieific and cultural cooperation with Iran and called for the exchange of experiences and the increase of mutual trips of cooperation delegations.
In this meeting, Masoud Al-Madijian congratulated the preside of Iraq on holding ehusiastic, healthy and problem-free elections and expressed his hope that the formation of a strong parliame and governme will help the growth and developme of Iraq.
Emphasizing the need to deepen relations between businessmen, universities and industries of Iran and Iraq, the preside of Iran considered joi investme and the developme of cross-border communication among Tehran’s priorities.
Doctors discussed the “destructive role of the Zionist regime” in the region and described this regime as a “cancerous tumor” and emphasized that Tel Aviv seeks to preve the strengthening of scieific, cultural, economic, political and industrial relations between Islamic couries and is moving towards igniting national and sectarian wars.
He emphasized that the way to deal with these destructive policies is to expand the fields of cooperation, promote joi investmes and iensify exchanges in any field that brings the people of the region closer together.
The head of Jamour Iran also said that the completion of the Basra-Shalamcheh railway project is one of Iran’s main priorities for expanding relations with Iraq, and the governors of the border provinces have been given special authority to use the vast capacities available to increase exchanges between Iran and Iraq.
