White House claims against Iran after piracy in the Caribbean
The spokesman of the White House claimed that the Venezuelan oil tanker was seized because of “the transfer of oil to the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards in the black market”.
According to RCO News Agency, “Caroline Levitt”, the spokesperson of the White House, during a briefing on Thursday evening, referring to the seizure of the Venezuelan oil tanker, claimed: “The seized Venezuelan vessel was part of the shadow fleet that was carrying sanctioned oil to the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards.”
According to “Fox News” news media, the spokesperson of the White House coinued his claim and said: “The United States Departme of Justice has issued a memo confirming the seizure of the Venezuelan oil tanker because it is subject to sanctions.”
Venezuela’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also announced earlier: “We condemn the appare theft of an oil tanker by the United States in the Caribbean and consider it an iernational piracy.”
Carolyn Levitt coinued her claim: “We are committed to the sanctions on Venezuela and will not allow the oil tankers of this coury to sell oil to finance drug terrorism.”
The White House spokesman said: US Preside Donald Trump is not concerned about the rece phone conversation between Russian Preside Vladimir Putin and Venezuelan Preside Nicolas Maduro.
Earlier, the Kremlin Palace announced that Putin discussed with Maduro the developme of friendly relations within the framework of the strategic partnership of the two couries and re-emphasized Russia’s support for the process of the curre Venezuelan governme.
Asked if Trump was worried about the phone call, Levitt told reporters: “I don’t think it’s a concern for Preside Trump at all.”
The spokesperson of the White House said about the war in Ukraine: “Preside Trump is extremely disappoied with both sides of this war. “He is tired of meetings just to meet and he doesn’t wa talk anymore, he was action.”
He also emphasized that Trump is aware of Ukraine’s response to the US peace proposal to end the conflict with Russia.
In this press conference, Carolyn Levitt said in response to the question whether Trump is aware of the Ukraine peace proposal: “Yes, Preside Trump is aware. “Also, there is an opportunity for a peace agreeme in Ukraine, and if it is worth it, we will participate in the upcoming meeting.”
