Barak: The future of Syria is tied to the agreeme with Israel

The US special envoy to Syria said that the curre governme of Damascus knows that its future is tied to the security and border agreeme with the Zionist regime and that this agreeme is inevitable.
According to RCO News Agency, “Thomas Barak”, the US special envoy to Syria, stated at the conference of the Hebrew newspaper “Jerusalem Post” in Washington: The Syrian governme knows that its future depends on reaching a security and border agreeme with Israel, and such an agreeme is inevitable.
Referring to the Zionists’ discussion about the agreeme with Damascus, Barak said: I thought the agreeme between the two sides was much closer than I saw the materials published in the Israeli press, however, this process will coinue because this agreeme is beneficial for Israel.
According to Al-Mayadeen News website, the US special envoy to Syria added: Tel Aviv prefers Syria to be an easy option.
He coinued: Damascus’ main motivation is not to attack Israel and Syria does not iend to become our enemy.
In the end, Barak said: If an agreeme is reached, I and my advisers will volueer to be part of a peacekeeping force.
