According to Mehr news agency, citing Dawn Pakistan newspaper, China’s Hebei Johang Company has announced its readiness to set up a large solar panel production plant in Pakistan.

“Wang Jianbin”, the representative of Hebei Johang Company, in a meeting with the Pakistani authorities, announced the company’s desire to invest several billion dollars in the fields of solar energy and advanced technologies.

Qaisar Ahmed Sheikh, Minister of Investment of Pakistan, welcomed the Chinese investment in green and job-creating industries and declared Islamabad-Beijing relations as strategic.

China-Pakistan relations have grown well in recent years. Beijing has always declared that it considers Islamabad a strategic partner in the region and wants to expand investment in this country.

Pakistan has also used its relations with China to develop its economy and uses these relations as a lever of pressure in relations with India and America.
