Venezuela unveiled a new defense plan in the shadow of American threats – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
TheAccording to RCO News Agency, citing Anatolia News Agency, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro announced that his country plans to strengthen its defense capabilities next year, within the framework of the vision he called “2026 Plan”.
While challenging the recent US threats against his country, he added in a televised statement on one of the local channels that his government plans to announce new strategies to strengthen the country’s defense capabilities in the new year.
Maduro clarified that the decisions were taken after a meeting he held with senior government officials. He said that the US military movements in the Caribbean region are a threat to Venezuela and these developments are one of the biggest motivations for his country to increase defense investments.
In this way, Venezuela plans to implement a vision called “Plan 2026” to strengthen the country’s capabilities in the fields of security and defense, communication policies and social organization.
On the other hand, the Minister of Defense of Venezuela, Vladimir Padrino López, announced that the threats that Venezuela has recently faced have led the country to develop new strategies and rebuild the militia force inside the country.
He added that the Venezuelan naval forces are increasing their readiness and vigilance day by day and are ready to respond to any attack that may target the country.
Washington has recently announced the dispatch of warships and a submarine to the coast of Venezuela. US Secretary of War Pete Hegst also said that the military is ready for military operations to change the regime in Venezuela.
In response to these measures, Maduro announced the mobilization of 4.5 million Venezuelan troops in the country and prepared to face any possible attack.
