This source stated: The refusal of the command of the international coalition led by Saudi Arabia to issue permission for planes to land and take off at Aden International Airport caused Yemeni Airlines to cancel a number of flights to and from this airport. This action confused hundreds of passengers.
According to this source, many passengers left Aden airport for their homes after waiting for hours. So far, the responsible authorities have not published any official statement about the reason for the suspension of flights.
This decision was taken at the same time as massive demonstrations were held in Aden and Hadhramout provinces at the invitation of the Transitional Council of Southern Yemen. Demonstrators demanded the separation of South Yemen and the formation of South Yemen.
In recent days, the forces affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council of Yemen have taken control of large parts of Hadhramout province, which alone constitutes a third of Yemen’s area. These forces also took control of areas in Al-Mahrah province.
The situation in the south and east of Yemen has deteriorated rapidly in the past week with the rapid advance of the elements of the Southern Transitional Council affiliated to the UAE in the provinces of Hadramaut and Al-Mahra.

Today, local sources in Aden province announced the immediate withdrawal of Saudi forces and the complete suspension of flights at the city’s airport.

At the same time, a source in the Riyadh-affiliated government announced that Saudi Arabia has stopped issuing any permits for civilian flights to and from Aden airport and has practically closed Yemeni airspace; According to a government source in Aden, Riyadh’s warning message is being evaluated due to the actions of the Transitional Council in the eastern provinces.
The Yemeni media have also reported that the country’s airspace, which is under the control of the forces affiliated with the Saudi coalition, has been completely and suddenly closed.
