According to RCO News Agency, According to the public relations of the Organization of Geology and Mineral Exploration of the coury, Neda Mohseni, the scieific secretary of the 4th Iernational Quaternary Science Conference, stating that this eve will be held on December 19 of this year, said: In this gathering, researchers from Italy, Germany, South Korea, China, England, Belgium, Australia, Sweden and Turkey will give speeches and share the latest findings, challenges and approaches to adapt to the inevitable changes of the Ahropocene era.
Mohseni stated: In this conference, there will be discussion and exchange of views on topics such as “resilience”; Because many geosystems and climate systems have undergone irreversible changes by crossing the thresholds of change. This new approach is based on accepting uncertaiies, changing the paradigm from “crisis manageme” to “adaptive risk manageme” and most importaly, a deep understanding of the geoecological limits of the planet based on paleo-quaternary data.
The fourth iernational conference of quaternary sciences, with the ceral motto of “resilience and adaptability in the face of environmeal changes”, iends to pave the way for developing strategies based on collective wisdom by creating a platform for constructive ieraction between the academic community and the coury’s executive and manageme institutions. The ultimate goal is to increase resilience and adaptability to the inevitable challenges of the Ahropocene era.
Quaternary, as the newest geological period that began about two and a half million years ago, is distinguished from previous periods by the two fundameal characteristics of the emergence of humans and the occurrence of freque climatic fluctuations.
