The 3+3 framework takes io accou the ierests of all Caucasus couries

In a specialized conference in Yerevan, the senior diplomat of the Russian Embassy in Armenia said that the consultations that are being carried out in the framework of “3+3” take io accou the ierests of all participating couries, and cooperation with other regional actors has not been excluded.
According to RCO News Agency, “Dmitry Liskai”, a Russian diplomat and advisor at the Russian Embassy in Armenia, stated that the transportation projects promoted by the West in the South Caucasus have become politicized.
This diplomat believes that logistics corridors that do not involve Russia or Iran and are also known as the “Trump Route” are esseially unprofitable.
According to the report of Rashatudi, Dmitry Liskai said on Saturday at a specialized conference titled “3+3 Framework: Prospects and Possible Options for Regional Cooperation” held in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia: “Today, the West is developing logistics plans in the South Caucasus that bypass Russia and Iran. It also includes a plan called “Trump’s Path for Iernational Peace and Prosperity”. This project is an infrastructure developme plan in the Sivnik region of Armenia, which includes railways, pipelines and fiber optic networks.
This Russian diplomat emphasized that “projects proposed by Western couries have a more political than economic nature.”
He said: “Projects that remove Russia or Iran from a main transportation corridor are basically not profitable. “I believe this is not the best basis for economic cooperation.”
Liskai we on to say that “it is importa for the West that freight transport is carried out without the participation of certain couries, regardless of the negative consequences for profitability, efficiency and demand.”
Meanwhile, this Russian diplomat emphasized that the transport routes between Russia and Iran are mostly fixed and based on iegration processes.
He added: “Consultations are being conducted within the framework of “3+3” (Russia, Turkey, Iran, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia). “The ierests of all participating couries are taken io accou, and cooperation with other regional actors is not excluded.”
The first meeting of the participas in the framework of “3+3” at the level of deputy foreign ministers was held in December 2021 in Moscow.
