According to the Mehr news agency, citing the information base of the Iraqi presidency, the Iraqi presidency denied any knowledge or agreement regarding the decision regarding the designation of Ansarullah movement and Lebanese Hezbollah as terrorists and the freezing of their assets and properties.
On Friday, the Presidency of Iraq denied any knowledge or agreement regarding the decision regarding the designation of Ansarullah movement and Hezbollah in Lebanon as terrorists and the blocking of their assets and property.
This Iraqi institution stated: Such decisions are not sent to this institution at all, and only the laws that are voted in the House of Representatives and the decrees of the Republic are sent to the presidency for review, approval and publication. The decisions of the Council of Ministers, the decisions of the Committee on Blocking the Assets of Terrorists, the decisions of the Anti-Money Laundering Committee, as well as the instructions issued by any other body, are not sent to the Presidency.
The Presidency of Iraq also announced that it had no knowledge or information about the decision to declare Ansarullah and Hezbollah as terrorists and to freeze their properties, and it only learned about such a decision through social networks.
Before this, the committee to block the assets of terrorists in the Central Bank of Iraq denied the news of the blocking of the assets of Hezbollah in Lebanon and Ansarullah in Yemen by publishing a statement.
