Venezuelan Preside Nicolás Maduro has repeatedly meioned that the increase in US military presence in the region is aimed at “overthrow” him.
In August, Washington doubled the reward for information leading to Maduro’s arrest to $50 million, accusing him of “connections to drug traffickers and criminal gangs”; A charge that Maduro has denied.

“An agreeme has been reached with Russia, then an agreeme has been reached with Ukraine,” Guterres emphasized. “The 2 are not compatible, then they go back to Russia and then, frankly, I believe we’re still a long way from a solution.”
He added: “The issue of the future of Donbass has been a key issue in the peace settleme because Russia is seeking official recognition of the eire region as Russia, while Ukraine has demanded a ceasefire along the curre coact lines before starting negotiations on this issue.”
