The former preside of Honduras was released from the US prison with Trump’s pardon

The former preside of Honduras, who was convicted of “helping to smuggle 400 tons of cocaine to the United States”, was released from prison after the preside of this coury pardoned him.
According to RCO News Agency, the wife of the former preside of Honduras, Juan Orlando Hernandez, announced on social networks that the former preside was released from the West Virginia prison of the United States on Monday and “has become a free man once again.”
According to the AFP report, the coroversial pardon of “Donald Trump” of the Preside of the United States took place while he simultaneously ordered the bombing of boats in the Caribbean allegedly “carrying drugs”. He also strongly supports the candidacy of Hernandez’s party in the couing of votes in the ongoing and tense Honduran presideial election.
The media called Hernandez’s pardon “surprising” given that Trump has made an ostensible war on Latin American drug trafficking the ceerpiece of his tumultuous second term.
US military forces have been deployed in the southern Caribbean to pressure Venezuelan Preside Nicolas Maduro, whom the Trump administration says is “part of a drug cartel.”
US forces regularly blow up small boats allegedly “carrying drugs”, while iernational experts say the attacks are “probably illegal”.
Trump is also deeply involved in the Honduran election, backing right-wing candidate Nasri Asfora, who was leading by just 515 votes, while warning that there would be a “heavy price” if Honduras tried to change the results.
Ricky Moncada, the ruling party’s candidate in Sunday’s election, trailing far behind his right-wing rivals, accused Trump of “ierveionist actions.”
Hernandez, who is from the same Asfora party, was the leader of this Ceral American coury from 2014 to 2022.
He was accused by the United States prosecutors of “facilitating the importation of about 400 tons of cocaine io the United States” and only a few weeks after leaving office, he was se back to the United States and seenced to 45 years in prison.
Trump said last week that Hernandez “has been treated very harshly and unfairly, according to a lot of people that I have a lot of respect for.”
