Katlekhor Cave, the shining gem of Khodabande city in Zanjan province, is not only a tourist attraction, but also one of the most amazing limestone caves in the world. This amazing structure, which is located at an altitude of about 1700 meters above sea level, is a natural and ancient treasure that makes every viewer forget the power of time and nature.
What distinguishes Katlekhor among the caves of the world is its multiple layers. This cave has a seven-story structure, only three of which have been explored and discovered so far, and this shows its unknown and mysterious dimensions. In the interior, geological wonders can be seen, from the 4,000-meter low-ceilinged sub-atriums and entrances to the clay and iron oxide deposits in certain spots.
The history of carrion does not end with geology; Some findings show that this place was once inhabited by the first humans. The discovery of about 80 skeletons of early humans in this cave doubles its ancient and historical importance and makes it one of the first known human settlements.
Katlekhor Cave with its eye-catching abstracts and drips formed due to water deposition on the walls and floor, displays a unique combination of underground beauty and ancient heritage of Iran and offers visitors an epic and thought-provoking tourism experience. (Legacy of Arya)
